Try magic erasers. I buy mine at Dollar General, they are very good at removing a lot of tough grime and stains. They remove my husbands "mechanic grease" from our ref door, so the nicotine should come off adequately easy.
Practiced luck.

All-time Answer
The best overall cleaning product I've establish is purchased at Habitation Depot (maybe other places also). Deplorable I cannot call up the whole name (I've run out so tin can't look at the gallon container) simply it's a product made by Zep. It is a degreaser and is a majestic liquid. Information technology is very concentrated so I put mayhap three-4 tablespoons in a spray canteen and fill the rest with h2o. I have used this on my fridge to remove smoke stains and had wonderful results.
Merely be sure to make clean from the bottom up, no streaks that style. Although a gallon seems like a lot, if you dilute it, information technology will terminal a yr or and then and information technology cleans anything, inside and out. Good luck!

I use a paste of Softscrub and OxyClean. Mix it up in a bowl about 3:1 and let it sit down while the OxyClean dissolves. I utilise one of those Micro Cleaning Cloths - seems to work all-time.
Scrub it in, let information technology sit about half and hour or and so, then wipe off and rinse. Voila!

Looks like the paint has come off and you are seeing the metal underneath.

I thought that as well initially but it was very dark & has lightened up now. It's a stain that has spread when I wiped it. At present it won't go :(

Abigail is right. You aren't spreading it, it's getting worse from underneath. If y'all documented it when you did your walk through, simply let the landlord know what is happening.
He can't charge you now or when you motion. Some good quality appliance paint will do the trick.

Could information technology peradventure be mold? If it's getting larger that might exist a tip off. Try bleach.

Looks like the original paint got chipped and so with the scrubbing, you are wearing off the veneer to me. Yous might effort something white-similar pigment or ink to endeavor and cover...

I recall Abigail is right. I think in that location were imperfections in the original finish. I believe moisture seeped through these imperfections and caused the underlying metal to oxidize, resulting in the blackness y'all see. This is not uncommon.
I would non employ bleach on these black areas. Information technology could crusade deterioration of the paint and further exposure to the underlying metal, resulting in more blackness expanse.
I have two suggestions for you.
I concur with Sandi, if your landlord is not enlightened of this situation, make him/her aware of information technology as soon as possible.
Clean the surface with a textile dipped into common cold h2o to which y'all have added a small amount of mild dish detergent, maybe i/ii teaspoon to a quart of water. Clean the area every bit best y'all tin can with this solution and then rinse thoroughly. Next, dry the area completely, fifty-fifty if you lot take to employ a fan. Once the area is completely dry out, you tin cover the entire surface with a printing and seal type food wrap. I'm guessing the area shown is the freezer door. If the wrap is properly applied, it will be hardly noticeable, only should prevent farther moisture damage.
It looks as if yous might have to live with the stain. And so just do what you lot can to preclude it from getting worse.I would speak with the landlord before applying whatsoever apparatus paint to this stain. He/she may agree information technology's OK, but unless at that place has been a recent, significant improvement in these paint products, y'all probably would just as presently look at the stain every bit the paint covering the stain. Anyway, it looks as if the area is also big for a 'small-scale touch up' product. Good luck.

November 2, 2018

It'due south in great working guild, only the side of information technology that has been toward the wall since nosotros moved in has scuff marks, mold, and what appears to be some oxidation (the white paint is non only coming off, merely the outer wall is just beginning to rust!) What can or should I use? It'south a Kenmore fridge, and I accept really not bad landlords who take washed a metric ton to help u.s.a..

Question: Cleaning Blackness Marks on the Outside of a Refrigerator?
Oct 3, 2011
Does any one accept whatsoever suggestions on what to apply to clean blackness marks off the refrigerator door? I am not sure what is the cause of the blackness marks. I believe it to be caused by build up of dirt or nutrient stains perhaps? The marks run along the side of the door and onto the refrigerator door handle. I tried bleach and nothing happened.
Thank you for any ideas.

Unremarkably bleach or a magic eraser will get rid of those stains. I notice that usually the stains on refrigerator handles are because people practise not wash their manus prior to treatment food, or using annihilation in the kitchen.

I find the magic eraser magically makes all those marks get away. I had a spot on my fridge that would not come off. I actually idea it was a place the paint got rubbed off or something and I was cleaning using the magic eraser and to my surprise it wiped it abroad. I peculiarly detect it helpful on the textured handles and the rest for the ice and water on my side by side. I hope they never discontinue them, they are and then adept at cleaning so many things and no harsh chemicals!

Get one of those 'scrub it' from the dollar store or store ( I think by Clorox or Mr. Clean). Cheap and gets off all black marks and lots more stuff.

You tin can try scrubbing with Comet or Ajax. And I do find those Magic Erasers to truly be magic. They become rid of spots on my rugs, left from my cats throwing up, etc. They do crumble pretty quickly, though, so I'm going to buy a small piece of similar foam and come across how that works. They too have an off-brand at Dollar Full general for about half the price.

I have used WD-twoscore on hard to clean spots and rubbed away the spot then have a sudsy dish textile and launder away the WD-40, works great on stainless steel. and porcelain.
And so dry out with a soft fabric.

Question: Cleaning the Outside of a Refrigerator?
December six, 2019
My problem is with the fridge door handle and the outside of the door. The only affair is that information technology is close to the stove then at that place are grease spots, and it is giving me the dickens to clean. I accept fifty-fifty tried Brillo, but that tends to take the finish off, so I stopped that. Does anyone have any suggestions? I can't stand a muddy fridge.
Help me.
Happy holidays to all!
